Who runs Newton Busters STEM Camp?

The camp is run entirely by high school students from the Newton Busters FTC robotics team. Our counselors are passionate about STEM and experienced in teaching younger kids through our library outreach programs.

What grades is the camp for?

Newton Busters STEM Camp is designed for students entering 3rd through 6th grade in Fall 2026. Activities are designed to be engaging and age-appropriate for this range.

When does the camp run?

Camp runs June 15 – June 19, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM each day.

How much does camp cost?

The cost is approximately $120 for the one-week program. This camp is non-profit; the cost covers materials and food.

How many kids are in the camp?

We cap enrollment at approximately 20 campers to ensure every child gets personalized attention from our counselors.

What should my child bring each day?

Just a water bottle. We provide all materials, including an optional snack. More details will be shared with registered families before camp begins.

Is the camp safe? What about allergens?

Safety is our top priority. All experiments are designed to be safe for kids in this age group. Our camp is nut-free, and we do our best to accommodate gluten-free needs. During registration, please share any allergies or dietary restrictions for your child.

Do kids need prior science experience?

Not at all! Our activities are designed to be accessible and fun for all experience levels. Whether your child is a budding scientist or completely new to STEM, they’ll find something to love at Newton Busters Camp.
